Strictly Come Dancing confirms songs and routines for Movie week
Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed the songs and routines for all 15 celebrity couples ahead of Movie Week, radiotimes.com reported. Following an opening week that featured no eliminations, the full roster will return to the BBC One ballroom on Saturday, September 26, at 6:15 pm to perform routines inspired by iconic cinematic moments.
Celebrities Perform Cinematic Tracks for Movie Week
The upcoming episode features a diverse lineup of dance styles mapped directly to cinematic tracks. Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu are set to open their Movie Week campaign with a Cha Cha Cha to “Oh, Pretty Woman” from Pretty Woman. Chris Appleton and Amy Dowden will also tackle the Cha Cha Cha, performing to “I’m Always Here” from Baywatch.
In the ballroom’s smoother categories, Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington have been assigned an American Smooth to “I’ll Never Love Again” from A Star Is Born. Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin will perform a Foxtrot to the title track of Beauty and the Beast.
Additional pairings and numbers include Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu dancing a Paso Doble to “No Good Deed” from Wicked: For Good, while Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola take on a Quickstep to “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5. Melanie Walters and Aljaž Škorjanec will perform a Waltz to “Edelweiss” from The Sound Of Music, and Dame Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon are scheduled for a Charleston to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins.
Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita will perform an American Smooth to “Rewrite The Stars” from The Greatest Showman. Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby take on a Samba to “We Go Together” from Grease. Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley will dance a Waltz to “The Godfather Waltz” from The Godfather, and John Nellis and Katya Jones have a Couple’s Choice routine to “An Irish Party in Third Class” from Titanic.

Rounding out the Movie Week card, Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystał will perform a Viennese Waltz to “Le Festin” from Ratatouille. Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr take on a Salsa to “You Should Be Dancing” from Saturday Night Fever, and Will Best and Dianne Buswell will dance a Foxtrot to “Old Time Rock & Roll” from Risky Business.
Building on Week One Performances
These cinematic routines follow the introductory performances from the opening week. During that initial outing, Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola danced a Cha Cha to Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know,” while Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin performed a Samba to Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life.” Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington opened their series with a Samba to “Baianá” by Barbatuques, and Chris Appleton and Amy Dowden tackled a Tango to Alice Merton’s “No Roots.”
Other week one routines included Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby performing a Quickstep to Bruno Mars, Will Best and Dianne Buswell taking on a Samba to Robbie Williams, and Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu dancing a Tango to Donna Summer.
