Titusville, FL – Five public meetings ⁤are scheduled this week regarding the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for spacex’s Starship program at Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at the⁤ Kennedy Space Center. ⁤These‌ meetings represent the final chance for ⁤in-person public ⁢input on the EIS process.

The EIS process assesses the potential environmental impacts ‌of SpaceX‘s‍ proposed operations at LC-39A, including launches, landings, and associated activities.The public ⁤is encouraged to attend these meetings⁤ to learn more about the EIS and provide feedback.

Background: Starship ⁤and LC-39A

SpaceX intends to​ utilize LC-39A, historically used for Apollo and Space Shuttle missions, for its fully reusable Starship launch vehicle. Starship is designed to carry​ both crew and⁢ cargo to destinations ‌throughout the solar system, including the Moon and Mars. the​ program represents a important expansion of SpaceX’s launch capabilities and a key ‌component of NASA’s Artemis program, aiming to return ⁣humans to the Moon.
