Speedway Bundesliga Title Race to Conclude with Wittstock Catch-Up Date
October 3, 2025 - A weather-canceled race threatened to leave the 2nd Speedway Bundesliga’s inaugural championship undecided, but a solution has been reached: the final race will be held on October 18th in Wittstock.
Following the cancellation of the final scheduled race in Diedenbergen on September 21st due to inclement weather, uncertainty surrounded the determination of the league standings. Now,series management,in coordination with the DMSB (German motor Sport Federation) and promoters, have announced a rescheduled date to complete the season.
The decisive race will take place at the Event Arena Wittstock on October 18th. This allows for a fair conclusion to the competition and ensures a champion will be crowned in the 2nd Bundesliga’s first season.
Currently, Inn Isar Racing leads the standings with nine points, having been the only team to complete all four scheduled races. They are followed by Cloppenburg with seven points and Olching with six. The outcome of the Wittstock race will ultimately determine the championship winner, with Inn Isar Racing possibly securing the title or finishing as low as third depending on the results.
The decision to reschedule the race was met with swift and positive support from all five teams involved. A brief video conference was all that was needed for team leaders to constructively agree on the logistical details of the event, demonstrating a collaborative spirit within the league.
