Sony sued Tencent for infringement in the United States, accusing “Origin of the Wild” of plagiarism of the “Horizon” series | 4Gamers

Sony has initiated legal proceedings against tencent in the United States, alleging copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and false designation of origin. the tech giant is seeking a court order to halt Tencent‘s alleged infringing activities and is demanding up to $150,000 in damages for each instance of copyright violation. Additionally, sony is requesting that Tencent surrender all game materials and related assets connected to the infringement for destruction.

The lawsuit specifically targets Tencent’s game, “Origin of the Wild,” which has been listed on Steam for the Taiwan region, though a definitive release date has not yet been announced.
