Sometimes buses run instead of trains on the Rheintalbahn – Kreis Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald

Those who travel by train should pay more attention to the timetables in the near future. Work is underway on the Rhine Valley route.

There is still construction work on the route of the Rheintalbahn. According to Deutsche Bahn, there are also timetable changes, cancellations and replacement bus services in the Freiburg region. Passengers should note that the bus times differ from those of trains.

From January 30th

From Monday, January 30 to Friday, February 17, from Monday to Friday, 10:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., some trains on line RB 27 between Müllheim and Neuchâtel will be replaced by buses, according to Bahn.

From February 11th

From Saturday to Monday, February 11th to 13th, and from Saturday to Tuesday, February 18th to 21st, the RE 7 line between Freiburg main station and Basel Bad Bahnhof will be canceled all day. Passengers should use the replacement trains to and from Neuchâtel, the RB 27 line and the replacement buses. In addition, the RB 26 line between Freiburg and Müllheim does not run in the specified period. Instead, trains on the RB 27 line and the replacement buses are to be used. The RB 27 line between Freiburg, Müllheim and Neuchâtel will also not run during this time and, according to Bahn, will “mostly be replaced by buses”. Instead of trains on the RB 28 route between Müllheim and Mulhouse Ville, replacement buses are also being used.

From February 24th

There are also impairments from Friday, February 24, 10 p.m. to Sunday, February 26, all day: some trains on the RB 27 line between Freiburg, Müllheim and Neuchâtel will be replaced by buses, according to Bahn. From Saturday, the RB 26 line between Freiburg and Müllheim and some trains on the RB 28 line between Freiburg, Müllheim and Mulhouse Ville will also be canceled. Here, too, there are mostly buses.
