Oropesa, Apurímac, Peru – Just two days after the bodies of 13 miners were discovered in Pataz province, another mining tragedy has struck Peru. This time, three workers have been found dead in the Puchungo mine, located in the Totora sector of the Oropesa District, Antabamba province, in Apurímac.

the victims, identified as brothers Abraham Huanacchiri Pérez, 21, Dario Huanacchiri Pérez, 26, and Pablo Huanacchiri Pérez, 20, were performing extraction work in one of the mine’s undercuts. The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 6.
