Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin expressed the hope that Moscow will not have to impose harsh measures due to the coronavirus, as is happening in other European countries. About this he stated on the air of the TV channel “Russia 1”.

“I really hope that we will not introduce any tough measures that are used today in Europe – in France, Germany, other countries,” he said.

According to him, now the situation in the capital makes it possible to do without it. The head of the city recalled the importance of observing the measures already introduced in Moscow, since this is the only condition to “get out of this crisis with dignity.”

Sobyanin called a sign of stabilization of the situation with COVID-19 in Moscow

Formerly Sobyanin criticized imposing a curfew at night to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. He called the measure populist, explaining that the number of people on the streets and in public places at night is “radically less” than during the day.
