Poland Confirms Ski Jumping World Cup lineup for Falun Amidst Tight Schedule

Lillehammer,Norway – Poland’s ski jumping team will maintain its current lineup for the upcoming World Cup competitions in Falun,Sweden,November 25-26,head coach Maciej Maciusiak announced following the conclusion of the Lillehammer event. The decision comes as the team faces a rapid turnaround, departing for Sweden as early as 7:00 AM Tuesday.

The Polish team finished 6th in the mixed doubles competition in Lillehammer, with Kamil Stoch achieving the highest individual placements-though never within the top ten. Despite a “bittersweet start,” Maciusiak emphasized positive developments, particularly Kacper Tomasiak’s solid World Cup debut. “Such a bittersweet start for us, but there are a lot of positives.Congratulations especially to Kacper, as he entered this World Cup season, maybe not with a bang, but with very solid jumps. Kamil is close to ten, the rest of the players show in individual attempts that they can even get to the top 10, but we have to put it together to fight for it,” he stated in a recording released by the Polish Ski Association.

The team traveling to Falun will consist of Kamil Stoch, Kacper Tomasiak, Dawid Kubacki, Piotr Żyła, Paweł Wasek, and Aleksander Zniszczoł. Onyl Zniszczoł failed to score points in Lillehammer.

Maciusiak explained the lineup decision was driven by logistical constraints. “The composition for Falun is exactly the same as hear, for logistical reasons, because tomorrow at 7:00 we start the journey to Falun,” he said.
