Serie A. AS Roma – Juventus 2-2 in 2nd matchday

In the hit of the 2nd round of Serie A AS Roma drew 2-2 with Juventus. Wojciech Szczęsny guarded the access to the gate of the “Old Lady”. The guests ended the game weakened, after Adrien Rabiot saw a red card.

Szczęsny quickly had the opportunity to shine in the clash with his former team. In the 13th minute Henrich Mchitarjan showed off with a great rally and beat Leonard Bonucci just in front of the penalty area, facing the Pole. He, however, could not be beat, stopping the ball.

In the 31st minute our representative was close to intervening more effectively, this time after a penalty kick after Adrien Rabiot’s hand was played. The executor of the “eleven” was Jordan Veretou, who hit the ground in the right corner of the goal, looking from the perspective of Szczęsny. The Pole managed to nudge the ball with his hand, but it eventually fluttered in the net.

Juventus replied on the 44th minute, also after a penalty for handball. Cristiano Ronaldo he probably hit from 11 meters, completely confusing the goalkeeper.

The first leg seemed to end in a draw, but Roma’s quick counterattack in stoppage time ended with a Veretout goal.

In the 55th minute it should be 3-1, but Edin Dżeko standing in front of the goal, facing only Szczęsny, hit the post from a few meters. From the 63rd minute, Juve had to deal with the weakening – the second yellow, and consequently the red card, was seen by Rabiot, who fouled Mkhitarjan.

The Old Lady has had problems, but she can always turn to CR7 in this situation. In the 69th minute Ronaldo perfectly found himself in the Roman penalty area and Danilo’s cross from the right side of the field finished with his head. The result has not changed anymore. Both teams, after a 2-2 draw, shared the points.
