Serge Pauwels gives up as a professional cyclist at the age of 36 | Cycling

Serge Pauwels (36) is putting an end to his cycling career after 15 years. Our fellow countryman won a stage in the Giro (2009) and became 13th in the Tour (2015).

Serge Pauwels took part in a grand tour 13 times. In 2009 he won a stage in the Giro. Six years later, he finished 13th in the Tour.

In 2017 Pauwels won a stage and the final classification in the Tour of Yorkshire.
