Mississippi Arrest Adds to Charges for Former Iowa Gymnastics Coach
POPLARVILLE, Mississippi – Sean gardner, a former gymnastics coach in West Des Moines, Iowa, is now facing federal child pornography charges in Mississippi, adding to existing federal charges in Iowa. Gardner is currently held in a Poplarville, Mississippi, county jail, having previously been detained at the Polk County Jail in Iowa.
Gardner was initially arrested last month by the FBI, prompting an investigation that has expanded to include several other gymnastics facilities where he previously worked.The owner of Chow’s Gymnastics, where Gardner was employed beginning in 2018, stated they were unaware of the allegations until his initial arrest.
Federal court records detail the new charges filed in Mississippi. The ongoing investigations aim to determine the full scope of the alleged offenses and potential victims.
