Scholarships Awarded to 13 Rising California Stars for Higher Education

California Water Service Group Awards Scholarships too Two Students Pursuing STEM and Healthcare Fields

FARMINGTON, N.M. & REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – July 14, 2025 – California Water Service Group (Cal Water) has announced the recipients of its annual stockholder-funded scholarships, recognizing two promising students for their academic achievements and future aspirations. Cooper W. of Farmington,New Mexico,and Ashley Z.of Redwood City, California, have each been awarded scholarships to support their higher education journeys.Cooper W., a second-year student at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, is pursuing a degree in industrial technologies. His academic pursuits are geared towards a future in ranching and community services. As a first-generation college student, Cooper is also an active member of the university’s rodeo team.Ashley Z. will be the first in her family to attend college. She is set to begin her studies at Santa Clara university this fall, majoring in public health sciences. Inspired by personal experiences with family members battling cancer, Ashley aims to build a career in surgical oncology.

These scholarships are funded through Cal Water’s stockholder giving program and have no impact on customer rates. Scholarship America, a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution, administers the program.
