Sarasota Man Breaks Dumbbell Row World Record

Sarasota, Florida – ‌Jonathan ​Simos, a local hurricane shutter installer, shattered a Guinness WorldRecord for most ‍total ⁤weight ⁤lifted by ‌dumbbell rows in one minute (one arm) at The KôR Sarasota Gym on December ⁢2022. Simos completed⁢ 58 repetitions with a 90-pound ⁢dumbbell,totaling ‍5,231.6 pounds lifted in 60 seconds.

The achievement marks ‍a significant leap in ⁢the ​record books, surpassing the‌ previous mark of 2,184 kilograms (4,814.90 pounds) set by russian lifter Sergey skolskiy in St. Petersburg,⁣ Russia, in December​ 2021. Simos’s lift‌ exceeded the previous ⁤record by over ‍400 pounds. This record-breaking feat ⁣highlights the growing‌ strength and ​fitness community⁤ in ​Sarasota, Florida,⁣ and demonstrates‍ the potential ‍for everyday athletes to achieve⁢ extraordinary results. ‌
