The device, poised to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro, appears to prioritize a lighter design and a high-resolution display. Samsung is rumored to launch the headset later this month.

Internally, the Galaxy XR is powered by Qualcomm’s XR2+ Gen 2 processor, announced nearly two years ago. The headset boasts a micro-OLED display containing approximately 6 million more pixels than the display found in the Apple Vision Pro. samsung is incorporating six sensors – four front-facing and two bottom-facing – for hand tracking, a forehead-mounted depth sensor, and four eye-tracking cameras around the lenses. Voice commands are also supported via integrated microphones, and the headset will ship with two controllers for gaming.

Rumors suggest a launch later this month, with pricing details previously leaked indicating a potentially significant investment for consumers.
