A hands-on video of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra surfaced online Saturday, offering an early look at the device’s design and a new security feature dubbed “Privacy Display.” The leak, shared by YouTuber Sahil Karoul on X/Twitter, showcases the phone in a new white color variant ahead of its official unveiling at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25th in San Francisco, according to Android Central.
The video reveals a “clean and polished” finish on the white model, addressing concerns about potential build quality changes as rumors suggest Samsung may be transitioning from a titanium frame to aluminum. Karoul reports the phone maintains a premium sense comparable to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Comparisons with competing flagship devices – the iPhone 17 Pro, OnePlus 15 and Vivo X300 Pro – highlight the S26 Ultra’s “pristine” aesthetic, described as both simple and classy.
The most notable aspect of the leak is the demonstration of Privacy Display, a feature designed to prevent visual eavesdropping. The technology renders the screen unreadable from side angles, eliminating the demand for aftermarket matte screen protectors that often compromise display clarity. This capability is enabled by the OLED M14 screen technology exclusive to the Galaxy S26 series. Older Samsung models, including the S25 line, utilize the M13 panel and are not compatible with the feature.
According to technical details revealed in reporting by Android Headlines, the Privacy Display feature is a hardware-software hybrid. It preserves the screen’s brightness and color accuracy for the user while blocking visibility from onlookers. The feature’s reliance on the OLED M14 technology means it will not be retroactively available on older Samsung devices.
Samsung has officially confirmed the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the S26 series – including the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra – will be unveiled, along with the Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro. The event will be live-streamed from San Francisco on February 25th at 1 pm ET / 10 am PT, as reported by Android Central and Tom’s Guide.
Recent reports also suggest Samsung is testing a 200MP telephoto sensor for the S26 Ultra, potentially enhancing zoom capabilities and maintaining the device’s position as a camera leader, according to Android Central.
