Samsung Expands Android 16 Update to Galaxy S22 Series adn Beyond
Samsung is rolling out Android 16 with One UI 8 to a wider range of devices,including the Galaxy S22 series,marking a significant milestone in the company’s update schedule. The rollout began in South Korea and is expected to reach other regions in the coming days. This update effectively concludes major system update support for older Galaxy S models.
The expansion of the Android 16 update follows releases for the Galaxy S24, S23, and S25 series. Specifically, the update is now available for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Simultaneously,Samsung is progressing with updates for more affordable devices,with the galaxy A15 and Galaxy A16 currently receiving the new software,as well as recent releases for the Galaxy A25.
Tablet users are also benefiting, as the Galaxy Tab S9 Series is now receiving the Android 16-based update following the Galaxy Tab S10 models.
