Samsung to Launch AI Glasses in 2026, Partnering with Google, Gentle Monster & Warby Parker
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – Samsung today announced plans to enter the AI-powered smart glasses market with a new device slated for release in 2026.The project represents a important push into immersive technology and will leverage a collaboration with Google and Qualcomm.
The forthcoming glasses will operate on Android XR, an extended reality operating system co-developed with Google, enabling seamless integration within Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem of devices. Samsung is also partnering with eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker to focus on both technological sophistication and stylish design.
This move positions Samsung to directly compete with existing smart glasses offerings like the Ray-Ban Meta smart Glasses. The company confirmed it is concurrently developing a range of other extended reality (XR) wearable devices alongside the AI glasses. The collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker aims to deliver devices that are both technologically advanced and comfortable for everyday wear.
