Rome Film Festival 2025 to Host Masterclasses with Linklater, Panahi, and Temple; Expands City-Wide with Massive red Carpet
The Rome Film Festival 2025 will illuminate the capital with a series of events designed to engage and inspire, highlighted by masterclasses featuring renowned filmmakers richard Linklater, Jafar Panahi, and Julien Temple. These exclusive sessions offer direct access to insights from leading figures in world cinema.
The festival’s calendar includes a masterclass with Richard linklater on October 20,tracing his career from Before Sunrise to Boyhood and his latest work,New Wave. Jafar Panahi, a champion of creative freedom, will present his Cannes Palme d’Or-winning film A Simple Accident on October 23. Julien Temple will blend music and film in “Let It Rock & Roll” on October 17, coinciding with the world premiere of his documentary I Am Curious Johnny.
Beyond the Auditorium Parco della Musica, screenings will take place at MAXXI, the Olympic Theater, the House of Cinema, and New Cinema Aquila. Auditorium Avenue will be transformed into a 1,300 m2 red carpet accompanied by iconic film soundtracks each evening.
