Xiaomi officially launched the new smartphone in China Redmi K30S. The phone is a fully functional one top of the range and is equipped with a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, but it comes at a significantly lower price point than its SoC-equipped rivals.
The Redmi K30S, acronym M2007J3SC appearance on the entities of 3C and Tenaa certification, is the Chinese rebrand of Xiaomi Mi 10T, but among its features the support for 5G connectivity is confirmed thanks to the equipment with a Soc Snapdragon 865. Compared to its almost twin brother, then, it has more memory (8 GB instead of 6 GB), but it has the same excellent screen and a practically indistinguishable design and characterized by a large rear three-sensor photographic module. For the rest, the data sheets are superimposable and characterized by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and the 6.67 ″ display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging closes the panel.
Redmi K30S, the features
The smartphone Redmi K30S it has a 6.67-inch LCD display with Full HD + resolution of 2400 × 1800 pixels and punch hole, that is the hole notch, for the housing of the front camera on the top left. The SD865 octa-core processor reaches a frequency of up to 2.84 GHz and is flanked, as already mentioned, by 8 GB of RAM. For the internal memory, which will not be expandable, the cuts are from 128 or 256 GB in UFS 3.1 technology. There is also a sensor for reading fingerprints on the side and the function of facial recognition.
For what concern camera compartment, we find a triple configuration on the back with a 64 megapixel main sensor (aperture f / 1.89), a 13 megapixel ultra wide-angle secondary sensor (with a field width of 123 degrees) and, finally, a macro lens with a 5 megapixel sensor. The front camera instead is 20 megapixel. The battery is quite large: 5,000mAh (4,900 nominal), with 33W fast charging.
Redmi K30S, how much it costs and when it arrives
The new Redmi K30S has just been presented in China, with the MIUI 12 based on Android 10, and should also arrive in other markets by November. There version 8/128 GB, at the current exchange rate, it costs approx 327 euro. The version 8/256 GB it costs instead 352 euro. These are very low prices for a smartphone with these characteristics and, above all, with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and 5G connection.
As always, however, it is good to remember that the low prices seen on the Chinese market are favorably affected by very low taxation and almost non-existent transport costs. In Europe, therefore, most likely the Redmi K30S will have a price between 400 and 450 euros, which remains still great.
