Jacksonville, FL – A Florida family got a spooky surprise after moving into a new home – but the source of the mystery wasn’t supernatural. Isa Machado and her family initially believed their Jacksonville trailer home was haunted, plagued by strange noises emanating from within the walls.
“We heard strange noises throughout the house,” Machado told The Dodo. “Something was making noises, and we got scared as we could even hear them in the kitchen.” Her mother even suspected ghostly activity.
The source of the unsettling sounds was finally revealed when Machado encountered a tiny, clawed hand reaching through a hole in the bathroom wall.Initially terrified, she quickly grabbed her camera to document the bizarre sight.

What followed wasn’t a paranormal investigation, but an animal rescue mission. The “ghost” turned out to be a raccoon – and not just one, but an entire family comfortably residing in the home’s crawlspace.
“We thought it was so funny and sweet,” Machado said. Animal control was called to safely remove the raccoon family,discovering the crawlspace hadn’t been properly sealed,allowing them easy access.
