rabat,morocco – The Qatar under-17 national handball team concluded a prosperous run at the first-ever U-17 World Cup in Morocco,finishing in fourth place after a 35-23 loss to Spain in the bronze medal match on Saturday. The tournament showcased the rising talent within Qatari handball, building on a legacy of international success.
Qatar’s journey to the semi-finals was marked by strong performances in the group stage. After finishing second in Group B, the team secured victories against Tunisia (38-30) and South Korea (45-24). Their only group stage defeat came against eventual tournament champions, Spain (23-41). This strong showing earned them a place as the best second-placed team, propelling them into the knockout stage.
