Putin: Israel Communicated Desire for Diplomatic Solution with Iran

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Israeli leadership has conveyed a clear message to Iran – through ongoing communication with Russia – that Israel does not seek military conflict and prioritizes a diplomatic resolution to regional tensions.
Putin emphasized Moscow’s role as a key communicator,maintaining “active and continuous” dialogue with both Jerusalem and Tehran. This ongoing communication channel facilitated the transmission of Israel’s position regarding a preference for de-escalation.
The Russian President also highlighted Iran’s apparent willingness to pursue a diplomatic path concerning its nuclear program.He expressed Russia’s assessment that Tehran demonstrates “determination to find mutually acceptable solutions” and to actively cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Putin confirmed recent, detailed discussions with IAEA Director-General rafael Grossi during Grossi’s visit to Russia. According to Putin, Grossi acknowledged Iran’s commitment to resolving all outstanding matters
, signaling progress in international oversight efforts.
While acknowledging that technical challenges remain,Putin believes that the implementation of existing agreements will be crucial in achieving a comprehensive and lasting resolution to the complex regional issues. He reiterated that Israel has consistently expressed a lack of interest in confrontation with Iran, favoring rather a peaceful and diplomatic resolution
