Punjabi Singer Rajvir Jawanda on Life Support Following Motorcycle Accident

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh – Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda is currently on advanced life support after a motorcycle accident in Himachal Pradesh on September 28, 2023.The incident occurred when his motorcycle collided with stray cattle that entered the roadway. Jawanda initially received treatment at the Civil hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with head and spine injuries, as well as cardiac arrest, before he was transferred to Fortis Hospital.

Jawanda, 35, is a popular figure in the Punjabi music industry, known for hits such as “Surname,” “Kamla,” “Mera Dil,” and “Sardari.” he has also appeared in several Punjabi films, including “Jind Jaan,” “Mindo Taseeldarni,” and “Kaka Ji.”

The artist began his music career in 2014 with the single “Munda Like Me,” having previously abandoned plans to become a police officer to pursue his passion for music. His songs often explore themes of love and Punjabi pride, showcasing his distinctive vocal style.

Jawanda maintains an active online presence, with a YouTube channel launched in 2019 boasting over 250 videos and 935,000 subscribers. He also has 2 million followers on Instagram, where he posted a video featuring the song “Tu Dis painda” just a day before the accident.

Following news of the incident, well-wishes have poured in from across the Punjabi entertainment industry and political sphere. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has offered prayers for Jawanda’s recovery, as have fellow singers Diljit Dosanjh, Kulwinder Billa, and Kanwar Grewal, with the latter two visiting him in the hospital.
