Pretty Little Liars Actor Keegan Allen Mugged at Gunpoint in West Hollywood
Actor Keegan Allen stated in an October 9 social media post that he was violently mugged at gunpoint and knifepoint outside an upscale West Hollywood grocery store, sustaining a head laceration and a concussion during the attack by two masked men who stole his watch.
The Attack Outside Laurel Supply and the Security Footage
The incident occurred on October 8 outside Laurel Supply, a high-end grocery store in West Hollywood, according to statements and videos shared by the actor. Security footage included in the post shows two individuals in black clothing approaching Allen as he loaded items into his truck in the parking lot. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a robbery call at approximately 9:05 p.m. local time on October 8. Investigators stated that two male suspects approached a male adult victim, with one suspect pointing a silver handgun and the other brandishing a knife. The attackers demanded Allen’s watch and bracelet. Allen wrote in a social media comment that one attacker demanded a bracelet that was difficult to remove, which preceded the physical assault. “I was trying to tell him it’s not easy to take off and said ‘you can take it off’ and he pistol whipped me,” Allen wrote to fans.
LAPD Investigates Armed Robbery of Allen
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the LAPD’s Major Crimes Bureau is investigating the armed robbery. Allen subsequently sought medical care at a hospital and confirmed to followers that he was concussed. In his social media post, Allen directed criticism at Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom regarding crime rates and surveillance technology. Bass released a statement to NBC News describing the incident as “egregious” while noting that West Hollywood operates as an independent city where the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department leads the investigation, meaning it is technically outside the jurisdiction of the City of Los Angeles. Addressing public safety metrics, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that serious crimes in the area decreased by nearly 10 percent between January and August. Department statistics indicate that 49 robberies occurred through August, representing a 21 percent decrease compared to the 62 incidents recorded during the same timeframe in 2025. In response to October incidents, the agency increased the number of patrol deputies deployed throughout the city.
Sheriff Seeks Information on Suspects Who Robbed Actor
The robbery targets a recognizable television actor who played Toby Cavanaugh on “Pretty Little Liars” from 2010 to 2017 and Liam Walker in “Walker” from 2021 to 2024, alongside a recent guest role on the ABC police drama “The Rookie.” The sheriff’s department urged anyone with additional information regarding the two suspects, who fled the scene in an unknown vehicle following the theft of the watch, to contact West Hollywood Station Detectives.
