Keegan Allen Mugged and Robbed in West Hollywood, Sheriff’s Dept Says

October 9, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Actor Keegan Allen was mugged by two masked men in the parking lot of a West Hollywood grocery store on Thursday evening, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The Grocery Store Parking Lot Attack

Allen, 37, had just returned to his vehicle from Laurel Supply, an upscale grocery store located on Santa Monica Boulevard, when the confrontation occurred. Two men approached the actor and vehicle. One suspect pointed a silver handgun at Allen while the second suspect pointed a knife. The attackers demanded his watch and bracelet. Shortly after the demands, one of the suspects struck Allen in the face with the handgun. The assailants stripped him of his watch and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated that Allen sustained a laceration to his forehead during the assault. He was not transported to a hospital. Investigators confirmed they are actively investigating the incident and will deploy additional patrols to the West Hollywood area.

Allen Posts Video Describing Robbery in West Hollywood

In the aftermath of the attack, Allen posted a video to Instagram showing blood on his face and left arm. In the footage, the rattled actor said he was robbed outside of Laurel Supply and asked if someone could call the police. He described the assailants wearing masks and recounted how they hit him in the head and pointed both a gun and a knife at him before taking off with his watch.

In the caption accompanying his post, Allen wrote that West Hollywood is no longer safe. He stated that he was robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men who threatened to kill him over a watch. He then directly called out Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom. He questioned whether flock cameras meant to stop crime would locate the suspects.

Response From Local Officials

The city of West Hollywood released a statement addressing the incident. Municipal officials insisted that the area remains a compassionate and engaged community. The statement emphasized that community concerns are heard and taken seriously, and that public safety remains the top priority for the city.

What Remains Unanswered

As the investigation continues, authorities have not yet publicly released detailed descriptions of the suspects beyond noting they wore masks, nor have they identified the make and model of the getaway vehicle. It remains unknown whether the stolen watch has been recovered or if the additional patrols announced by the sheriff’s department have yielded leads in identifying the two men.
