Rapper Poorstacy Dies at 26 following Shooting
Rapper Carlito Junior Milfort, known professionally as poorstacy, has died at the age of 26 following a shooting in Boca Raton, Florida. According to reports from TMZ, the incident occurred Saturday morning in a hotel room.
Poorstacy initially survived the gunshot wound adn was hospitalized.He passed away on Monday, November 29, after being taken off life support. While authorities have reported the death as a suicide, Poorstacy’s family has expressed doubts and suspects foul play.
The artist gained recognition for his work on the soundtrack for “Bill & Ted Face the Music” (2020), and released two studio albums. His music garnered millions of streams, including popular tracks like ”Don’t Look at Me” (2020) and ”Hills Have Eyes” (2020).
Collaborator Travis Barker, the renowned drummer, publicly mourned Poorstacy’s death, posting on Instagram alongside a video of their performance of “Choose Life” (2020): “rest in peace, you will never be forgotten.”
Poorstacy’s most recent single, “Nothing belong to you,” was released in July. He also featured on Paris Shadows’ “Last Time Around” in October.
