Police on the hunt for ‘two heartless ruffians’ for kidnapping and murder of North West man

Police Hunt Accomplices in Brutal Murder Case

Authorities in North West are seeking two individuals, known only as **Pontsho** and **MJ**, believed to be connected to the kidnapping and murder of **David Monese**. The police consider them armed and dangerous.

Arrest Made in Connection to the Crime

Following an investigation, **Lucas Enock Mkhize**, 39, was apprehended about 60km outside Mahikeng, according to police reports. A multidisciplinary team, incorporating crime intelligence, murder and robbery units, vehicle crime investigators, and detectives, made the arrest on Monday.

Subsequently, police searched a residence at Ramatlabama, where they discovered cellphones and clothing suspected to be stolen property. **Mkhize** then directed authorities to Hebron Village in the Bangladesh section, where the remains of **Monese** were located in an open field.

Court Appearance and Charges

**Mkhize** appeared in the Ga-Rankuwa magistrate’s court on Wednesday, facing charges of murder, kidnapping, house robbery, and carjacking. He will remain in custody until his next court appearance scheduled for July 24.

Public Assistance Requested

Law enforcement officials urge the public to refrain from harboring or assisting **Pontsho** and **MJ**, emphasizing the potential danger they pose.
