Two Women Killed in Pleasley Crash Named by Police, 9-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized
Pleasley, Derbyshire – Derbyshire Police have named the two women who died following a collision on Common Lane in Pleasley near Mansfield on thursday, November 27. The victims have been identified as Amie Pearson, 26, who was driving a Suzuki Alto, and her passenger, Chelsea Carlisle, 29.
The crash,which occurred at approximately 6:20 am,involved a Suzuki Alto and a Vauxhall Meriva. A nine-year-old boy who was also in the Suzuki sustained serious, life-changing injuries and remains hospitalized.Three men traveling in the Vauxhall were also injured,two of them seriously.
Police have arrested an 18-year-old man from the Vauxhall at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was also taken to hospital due to injuries sustained in the collision and remains under medical care.
“Their families are aware and our thoughts remain with them,” derbyshire Police stated.
