Pokémon GO Kalos Tour: Tickets, Maps & New Event Details

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

Pokémon Travel trainers will soon embark on a global adventure with the Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos, featuring live events in Tainan, Taiwan and Los Angeles, California, followed by a worldwide virtual event. Tickets for the in-person events in both Tainan and Los Angeles remain available, offering players the chance to be among the first to encounter Pokémon debuting in this year’s Tour.

The live events, scheduled from February 20-22, 2026, will offer exclusive gameplay experiences for ticket holders. Attendees can enhance their experience with event add-ons, providing additional bonuses, extra days of gameplay and access to the new Mega Night experience. These add-ons will be active throughout the weekend, from February 20th to February 22nd, 2026. Merchandise reservations for the Los Angeles event at Rose Bowl Stadium are also still open.

Event maps for both locations are now available for download, allowing trainers to plan their routes and maximize their gameplay. For those traveling to the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, organizers recommend exploring all transportation options, including carpooling and public transit. Parking at the Rose Bowl Stadium must be purchased in advance, as availability will be limited during the event.

The Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global event, taking place on February 28th and March 1st, 2026, offers a free-to-play option for trainers worldwide. Players can upgrade their experience with a ticket, granting access to an exclusive Special Research task, additional bonuses, and increased chances of encountering Shiny Pokémon. A ticket also unlocks a Masterwork Research quest culminating in an encounter with a Shiny Diancie. This year’s Global Tour ticket is available at a special price in celebration of Pokémon GO’s upcoming tenth anniversary.

The Tour will feature new music composed by Junichi Masuda, a composer for the Pokémon video game series and creative director at The Pokémon Company. These new tracks, inspired by Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, will be audible while exploring the game map, capturing Pokémon, and battling Xerneas and Yveltal in raids.

Ticketed trainers participating in the Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global will be able to choose between two branching Special Research storylines: Version X and Version Y. The chosen path will determine specific rewards and bonuses. Completing either version will result in an encounter with Xerneas (Version X) or Yveltal (Version Y), each with a unique background inspired by their respective Pokémon game. Trainers who participate in the in-person events in Tainan or Los Angeles can also complete these branching research tasks, even after completing the event-specific Special Research.

During the Global event, all trainers will have increased opportunities to encounter Shiny Pikachu wearing a special costume, as well as Shiny Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie in the wild. Shiny Honedge will also appear more frequently in raids, and Shiny Pokémon will be more common in 2 km and 10 km Eggs. Purchasing a ticket for the Global event further increases the chances of encountering additional Shiny Pokémon.

New avatar items will be available throughout the Tour. The 2026 GO Tour T-shirt will be the initial reward in the GO Battle Pass: Kalos Road, and the Zygarde Jacket can be unlocked by upgrading to the Deluxe GO Battle Pass. The GO Battle Pass and its deluxe version will be available from February 23rd, 2026, at 10:00 local time, until March 1st, 2026, at 18:00 local time. Avatar items, including the Xerneas Accessory and Yveltal Coat, will be available for purchase in the in-game shop starting February 23rd, 2026.

The Shiny Diancie T-shirt will be available as a reward in the new Masterwork Research quest, included with the Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global event ticket, in the in-game shop from February 24th, 2026, at 10:00 local time, until March 2nd, 2026, at 18:00 local time. This Masterwork Research quest has no expiration date.

Trainers attending the live events in Los Angeles and Tainan will be able to collect Tour-themed stickers from PokéStops and Gifts during the event, February 20-22, 2026. During the Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global event, February 28th and March 1st, 2026, all trainers can collect these stickers from PokéStops and Gifts between 10:00 and 18:00 local time each day. The stickers will also be available for purchase in the in-game shop from February 20th, 2026, at 9:00 local time, until March 1st, 2026, at 20:00 local time.
