On Air Fest Evolves into On Air Presents,Expanding into Full-Service Creative Agency & Welcoming The Ambies
BROOKLYN,NY – September 10,2025 – On Air,the company behind the popular On Air Fest, today announced a meaningful evolution, rebranding as On Air Presents and expanding its operations to include a full-service creative agency,On Air Studio, and a partnership to host The Ambies, the annual awards of The Podcast academy. The move signals a broader ambition to become a central hub for podcasting and audio-driven omnichannel storytelling.
Founded on the success of its live festival, On Air presents will now operate with two distinct but interconnected divisions: a festival arm producing events in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and other locations, and On Air Studio, formerly known as Work x work. The studio has a proven track record, having previously completed rebrands and campaigns for major clients including Spotify, Sonos, and the New York Times. The studio’s focus will now expand to include collaborations with brands seeking to activate within the On Air ecosystem.
“Podcasting has shifted from audio storytelling to omnichannel storytelling,” said On Air founder and CEO, Lauren Newman. “Our expansion is a reflection of the ways in which the industry itself is changing.”
On Air has demonstrated consistent financial growth, generating a seven-figure revenue. The company reported nearly 30% year-over-year growth in 2025 and currently employs a core team of 10,supplemented by 20 additional contractors. Sponsorship for its flagship Brooklyn festival has seen annual increases of 20-40% over the past three years. The February 2025 Brooklyn event attracted 2,000 attendees, a 40% increase from the previous year, and featured over 200 performers and speakers. Content stemming from the event reached over 10 million listeners and viewers, with related social media content generating 500 million impressions.
A key addition to the On Air Presents portfolio is The Ambies, which will join On Air Fest in New York beginning in 2026. previously held as part of Podcast Movement, the awards will bring increased industry recognition to the festival.
“The Ambies are the only major independent podcast award that has a live event,” noted Bryan Barletta, founder of podcast agency Sounds Profitable. “Combining them with On Air gives people more reason to engage with the festival. There’s nothing in experiential like what On Air has done.”
On Air will also revive On Air LA in November after a one-year pause. The event will feature creator showcases, live podcast tapings, and an invite-only Podcast Business Summit,co-hosted with Bloomberg.
Newman emphasized the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation. “From the earliest days, On Air was an experiment in championing boundary-pushing creatives,” she said. “now that the industry has caught up, we’re broadening our scope and focusing on breaking the next creative barriers.”
