Philadelphia & Massachusetts Service Disruptions: Jan 12-13

FlixBus service between Philadelphia and Boston will be disrupted this week due to operational adjustments. Bus routes originating in Philadelphia will continue to operate, however, services in Boston, Lawrence, and Springfield, Massachusetts, will be suspended on Thursday, February 12th and Friday, February 13th, 2026.

According to FlixBus, travelers seeking to journey between Philadelphia and Boston face a roughly 487 kilometer distance, with an estimated travel time of 6 hours and 25 minutes. Tickets are currently available starting at €33.47. The company encourages passengers to book tickets online via its website or mobile application, and to consider traveling during off-peak hours or on weekdays for potentially lower fares.

FlixBus offers a variety of payment options, including credit cards, PayPal, and Google Pay. Passengers can also pay in cash directly on board the bus or at designated ticket sales locations.

Alternative transportation options between Philadelphia and Boston include flights. Skyscanner reports that flights are available from $84, though prices fluctuate. Google Flights also provides a platform for searching and booking flights between Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
