Paysafe Launches PaysafeWallet in Poland to Expand European Presence

August 10, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

Global payments platform Paysafe has officially extended its digital wallet to Poland, enabling local users to transact in zloty via physical and virtual debit cards, according to an official corporate press release issued on August 10. The expansion builds on the firm’s established PaysafeCard footprint in the country, arriving as the fintech scales its digital wallet presence across Europe following a gain of 600,000 new users across the continent over an 18-month period.

Scaling the Digital Wallet Across European Markets

The newly deployed PaysafeWallet grants Polish consumers a dedicated personal payment account complete with an International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and a virtual debit card. Users can top up their accounts using cash, execute peer-to-peer money transfers, settle bills at physical retail and dining establishments, conduct e-commerce transactions, and execute bank transfers alongside cash withdrawals. Existing PaysafeCard account holders activate the new functionality directly through the platform’s Wallet tab, while new participants download the PaysafeCard application to complete onboarding in minutes.

According to Paysafe Chief Product Officer Bob Legters, the strategic push targets a demographic demanding rapid financial mobility. “Young consumers in Poland are digital natives and expect their money to move as fast as they do,” Legters stated in the August 10 corporate release. “PaysafeWallet gives them something that feels made for them; their own debit card on their phone, the freedom to pay, send and spend however they want, and the reassurance that cash is still an option when they need it.”

This Polish launch follows a broader continental rollout disclosed by Paysafe in April, which brought the digital wallet offering to 18 European jurisdictions including Germany, France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Australia, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Belgium, Portugal, Ireland, Slovenia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, and Malta. Operations in Europe are supported by targeted regulatory compliance and localized user acquisition models that corporate leaders have increasingly prioritized.

Executive Growth Strategies and Earnings Trajectory

The European wallet expansion reflects an aggressive pivot toward consumer acquisition that leadership underscored during financial disclosures earlier in the fiscal year. During a May earnings call, Paysafe CEO Bruce Lowthers reported that the company’s European wallet footprint was gaining substantial market ground, noting that PaysafeWallet recorded its strongest month on record in March. “We are much more aggressive about consumer acquisition today than we have ever been,” Lowthers stated during the call.

Beyond European markets, Paysafe’s portfolio includes the PagoEfectivo wallet operating in Latin America, which Lowthers identified as a consistent contributor to overall user engagement and transactional volume growth.
