Pays Basque. Five eco-innovative projects rewarded by the Basque Country Community

The Basque Country Community decided this year to support 5 eco-innovative projects. These 5 companies have the common goal of reducing their environmental impact. A envelope of 50,000 euros was therefore shared between these productive enterprises.

Companies wishing to engage in the ecological transition

Among the five companies supported by the Basque Country Community, three are based in Anglet, one in Hasparren and an association in Osserain. In addition to this envelope, monitoring is carried out via masterclasses within the incubator of innovative companies: Create.

“Haddock” based in Hasparren is supported up to 11,000 euros

“Our goal is to continue to promote seafood”

Through its Scale brand, the Haddock company creates new entirely eco-responsible materials from seafood. After creating the Scalite ©, a plate entirely designed from fish scales and which can be worked like wood. With this support, the company now wishes to develop an eco-sourced glue intended for Industry.

“Arrosia” based in Arkinova in Anglet is supported up to 11,000 euros

“The goal is to use as little energy as possible as little water as possible …”

This company opened in 2017 following the meeting between designer Camille Suarez and the gemmage industry (harvesting pine resin). The objective of this “Arrosia” company is to develop forest products, untapped natural resources.

It is developing ecopin, a 100% bio-sourced resin based on maritime pine, a real alternative to petrochemical resins. It is supported by the Basque Country Community in the industrialization of its production.

“Tikoam” based in Arkinova in Anglet, supported up to 11,000 euros

Tikoam is a company based in the Basque Country. It brings together architects, engineers and designers, and is supported by the Basque Country Community in the creation of furniture partitions intended to replace plaster partitions in the development of collective housing. The main objective is to reduce the carbon footprint of operations.

“Green Wave” based in Anglet is supported up to 11,000 euros

“The Basque Country is the cradle of European surfing, you have to be here to develop”

Via its Notox brand, “Green Wave” develops eco-designed equipment for the practice of water sports. The Basque Country Community is supporting its made in France range project for the practice of wingfoil, an emerging board sport.

“Aima” based in Osserain is supported up to 6000 euros:

“In the social and solidarity economy we can create jobs”

The Aima recycling center develops the reuse and recycling of professional equipment (office, industrial kitchens, etc.). She is supported in her digital workshop project integrating a 3D printer in order to manufacture spare parts.
