Pardubice to Auction Towed Vehicles, starting Bids as Low as 1,500 Crowns
Pardubice will auction off fourteen vehicles towed from city streets, offering potential buyers the chance to acquire a car for a symbolic price, beginning at 1,500 Czech crowns. The auction provides an opportunity for individuals seeking spare parts or a restoration project to obtain a vehicle at a significantly reduced cost.
The auction, scheduled for Tuesday, follows a accomplished inaugural event in November where ten of seventeen offered vehicles sold for a combined 85,400 crowns.Interested parties can inspect the vehicles in person from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the barracks in Hůrky before bidding. Vehicles not sold will be ecologically destroyed. This initiative aims to clear obstructions, free up parking spaces, and improve the overall appearance of Pardubice.
Vehicles up for auction include models from Renault, Skoda, Ford, Toyota, Peugeot, and volkswagen. Bidders are not required to demonstrate the intended use of the vehicle, allowing for flexibility in its potential repurposing.
Citizens can continue to report abandoned vehicles to city district offices or the city police. Deputy Hrabal stated the municipality plans to continue collaborating with districts and authorities to remove obstructing vehicles.
