Palworld Clone “palland” Released on Nintendo Switch
A game strikingly similar to the controversial creature-collecting survival game Palworld has been released on the Nintendo Switch. Called Palland, the title is currently available on the eShop for £9.99 / €9.99 - significantly less than Palworld’s price.
The release comes after Palworld, launched in January 2024 for PC and Xbox, faced accusations of heavily borrowing from the Pokémon franchise, prompting investigation by Nintendo regarding potential patent infringements. While Palworld has since been released on PlayStation 5, it remains unavailable on Switch.
Palland is described on its nintendo eShop page as a ”captivating survival, construction and exploration game where everything starts with a modest base.” the description continues: “In a large and hazardous environment, you decide how to collect resources, develop your refuge and handle the creatures that can be both threats and valuable sources of power.”
As of today, Palland remains available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop. it remains to be seen whether Nintendo will take action regarding this apparent clone of a game they previously scrutinized.
