Oppo Launches Find X9 and Find X9 Pro with Flagship Specs and Hasselblad Cameras
Shenzhen, China – October 23, 2024 – Oppo today announced the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, the latest additions to its flagship smartphone lineup. Both devices are powered by MediaTek‘s new Dimensity 9500 chipset and boast a suite of advanced features, including high-refresh-rate OLED displays, robust camera systems co-developed with Hasselblad, and extended software support. The launch signals Oppo’s continued commitment to innovation in the premium smartphone market.
The Find X9 and X9 Pro share several core specifications, positioning them as high-performance contenders. Both models feature 120Hz OLED displays capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3600 nits, protected by Gorilla Glass and incorporating an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. They also both carry IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance. Software is handled by Android 16 with ColorOS 16, promising five major OS upgrades and six years of security updates, alongside integration with Gemini AI and proprietary AI features like AI Portrait Glow, AI Recorder, and AI Mind Space. Notably,Oppo has included native integration with apple Watch.
However, key differences distinguish the two models. The Oppo Find X9 sports a 6.59-inch display with a resolution of 1256 x 2760 pixels and a 7025 mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse charging.
The Find X9 Pro ups the ante with a larger 6.78-inch display (1272 x 2772 pixels) and a 7500 mAh battery, maintaining the same charging speeds.
Camera systems also diverge considerably. The Find X9 features a triple-camera setup, each sensor weighing in at 50 MP, headlined by a Sony LYT-808 main sensor, alongside a periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom and an ultrawide lens. A 32 MP selfie camera completes the package.
The Find X9 Pro boasts a more sophisticated camera system, again developed in collaboration with hasselblad. It features a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a standout 200 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, pixel-level calibration, and DCG-HDR (Dual Conversion Gain). The selfie camera is upgraded to 50 MP, and an optional accessory provides 10x optical zoom capabilities.
Pre-orders for the Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro are now open in china, with pricing detailed in a table published by GSM Arena. Global availability, including Europe, is also planned.
