Offset Shares Update On His Relationship With Quavo

Offset and Quavo Mend Ties, Hint at Deeper Connection

Migos Members Reconnect, Ahead of New Album Release

Former Migos duo Offset and Quavo are reportedly on better terms, speaking as frequently as “every other week.” The reconciliation comes as Offset prepares to release his latest album, promising a more personal project.

Family First, Despite Friction

Offset shared insights into his relationship with Quavo during a recent appearance on 7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony. He emphasized that external online narratives don’t reflect their reality.

“It be the internet trying to do some old sh*t, but with us, it ain’t about that. We gotta holla at each other in the day, at the end of the day, man. That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime. In the day, a n**** ain’t finna play with him, or a n**** ain’t finna play with me.”

The pair, along with the late Takeoff, were instrumental members of the influential hip-hop group Migos. Their reunion in June to honor Takeoff on his birthday highlighted their bond, with Offset noting Takeoff‘s role as the “glue.”

‘Kiari’ Promises Personal Revelation

Offset‘s forthcoming album, titled Kiari, is being billed as his most introspective work to date. The project is set to feature a diverse lineup including Gunna, NBA YoungBoy, Key Glock, and John Legend.

The artist has clarified his intentions for the album, stating he will not engage in “shots” at others. He confirmed this stance on The Joe Budden Podcast.

“The shots? I ain’t doing that. I might speak on life situations, but I’m not doing that. That ain’t the way to do it. There’s too much involved, family, kids. That sh*t gonna be lame 10 years from now. I ain’t on that, but I’ll be expressing some feelings of how I feel about certain things.”

In a similar vein of personal reflection, artists are increasingly using their music to address complex family dynamics and personal growth, a trend seen across the music industry in recent years. For instance, in 2023, singer Usher released tracks delving into his own familial experiences.
