The 13-year-old aspiring rapper wore bright blue hair and multiple faux facial piercings during the broadcast alongside her mother, Kim Kardashian. “Oh no, I’m not demonic, guys. Stop saying I’m demonic. No, I’m not,” North stated in a clip posted on X, as reported. “Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by its cover.”
Kardashian, 45, noted that public criticism often targets the black grill and piercings her eldest daughter wears. North rejected the association directly, affirming her personal beliefs to the audience. “You guys know I’m not on that demon stuff. I believe in Jesus,” North said.
The teenager also pushed back against online theories attributing her aesthetic choices to family history. Kardashian filed for divorce from rapper Kanye West in 2021, and the separation was finalized in 2022.
“Yeah, so you guys can’t say where the style came from? Is the style from the divorce? No queen. I don’t know what you’re talking about,” North said in footage from the broadcast.

The mother and daughter have faced ongoing commentary regarding the teen’s wardrobe and experimental accessories. In August 2025, public criticism followed a family vacation in Rome where North wore a dermal finger piercing on her middle finger. Over recent years, the teenager has appeared in public wearing fake face tattoos, piercings, a black grill, colorful wigs, corsets, and miniskirts.
Addressing the challenges of growing up in the media spotlight, Kardashian discussed the difficulties on a podcast appearance last October. “It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things,” Kardashian said on “Call Her Daddy.” “But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I’m like, ‘Okay, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”
Despite giving her eldest child room for stylistic expression, Kardashian maintains boundaries. It was noted that Kardashian shared on another podcast episode in January that North faces household rules and is prohibited from getting certain modifications, such as a bridge piercing.
“These piercings are not real. I change them so much that you guys think that’s real?” North added during the recent social media broadcast, explaining that her studs are temporary and frequently moved.
