KERNERSVILLE, NC – Jolanda Neff dominated the elite women’s race, while Kerry Werner secured his ‌12th victory at⁢ the North Carolina Grand‌ Prix ​(NCGP) on Saturday, marking‍ the final stop on the USA⁢ Cycling Cyclocross⁢ National Series calendar. Neff rode ‌solo to victory, showcasing‍ her ‌strength and skill, while Werner engaged in⁣ a thrilling battle with‍ Curtis white and Eric Brunner, ultimately taking the win after a late-race surge.

The NCGP, celebrating​ its 20th anniversary in 2025, is the longest-running elite-level ‌cycling event in ⁣North Carolina. Neff’s ‌win solidifies her position as a top contender in the cyclocross scene, and Werner’s victory marks ⁤his first of ‍the ⁢season, setting the stage for continued ‌competition as the series concludes on Sunday‍ with day two of racing.

In the women’s race, Neff‌ quickly established a commanding lead, ⁤leaving her competitors to battle for second place. Clara⁢ Honsinger finished ⁤second, followed by Caitlin Armstrong in third.

The men’s race saw a more competitive⁣ field, with⁣ Werner, White, and Brunner trading blows throughout the ⁣event. With one lap remaining,Bashir surged past Werner,with Clark close behind. Werner ⁣regained the lead heading into​ the barriers, utilizing his hopping​ ability to his⁤ advantage.​ A late mistake by Bashir allowed werner to capitalize and ⁤create a gap heading into “The Wall.”

Werner held on ‍to claim​ the victory,‌ followed by Clark in second ⁢and bashir in third.
