Niall Horan, the Mullingar native who rose to international fame with One Direction, has revealed a passion for luxury timepieces alongside the announcement of his upcoming fourth studio album, Dinner Party. The 32-year-old showcased a vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava in a recent Instagram reel promoting the album, sparking both excitement among fans and scrutiny within the watch collecting community.
While the album, set for release in June, is generating significant buzz, it was the choice of watch – and the time it displayed – that quickly became a focal point. In the world of luxury watch photography, positioning the hands to 10:10 is a common practice, designed to prominently feature the brand’s logo. Horan, still, deliberately set the Calatrava’s hands to 6:12, a detail his devoted fanbase, known as ‘Lovers,’ believe is a romantic gesture towards his girlfriend, Amelia ‘Mia’ Woolley, whose anniversary falls on June 12th. Horan has also shared that the album’s title track recounts the story of the dinner party where they first met six years ago.

When on the golf course, Horan often sports an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra ‘Ultra Light,’ valued at €52,200, a model co-designed with McIlroy and crafted from Gamma Titanium.
Further demonstrating his appreciation for luxury timepieces, Horan owns a rose-gold Rolex Day-Date, worth approximately €40,600, which he wore while performing for former US President Joe Biden on St Patrick’s Day in 2023. He also possesses the notoriously difficult-to-acquire Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711, valued at a staggering €116,000, which he was seen wearing during his time as a coach on The Voice US. A Rolex ‘Pepsi’ GMT-Master II, priced at €19,700, is his preferred travel companion, spotted at the Monaco Grand Prix, while a Rolex Daytona, costing around €34,800, has been frequently photographed on his wrist courtside at Wimbledon.
Despite his affinity for expensive watches, Horan maintains a connection to his roots. Throughout his 2024 The Show tour, he was seen sporting €5 beaded friendship bracelets gifted by fans alongside his high-value timepieces. He also consistently wears a Buddha-to-Buddha silver chain, a handmade Balinese piece worth around €470, which he has worn since his days with One Direction, a detail that underscores his enduring connection to his beginnings.
