SAN ANTONIO, TX – A new barbecue food truck in San Antonio, Bucán Rodeo, is quickly gaining popularity, consistently selling out of its offerings within hours of opening. Located at 521 E. Bucán Rodeo, operated by Michael Barrera-Pacheco and partner Baker, launched to meet a growing demand for authentic, flavorful barbecue in the city. During a recent visit, a group of women from Galveston shared that they discovered Bucán Rodeo through a TikTok video while in San Antonio to attend a Chris brown concert at the Alamodome. They praised the food, stating it was ”the best food we’ve had as we’ve been here,” a sentiment they also expressed directly to Barrera-Pacheco and Baker.
Bucán Rodeo is currently open for barbecue service from noon to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, the truck features a special hot dog menu available from 8 p.m.to 1 a.m. on Tuesday nights. Chef Barrera-Pacheco was observed checking on customers during Sunday service, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction alongside Baker.
