DFB‘s ⁣Leweling Exits National‌ Team Camp with Muscle Issue

Sinsheim, Germany – Germany’s national team will be without ‌winger Leon‌ Leweling for the remainder of the current international break due to muscle ‌problems. The Union Berlin ⁤player was unable to feature in⁤ the 4-0 victory over Luxembourg ⁢in Sinsheim and has ‍been⁣ released to return to his club for recovery.

Leweling,‍ 22, had earned a starting ⁣position in the previous international fixture, a 3-1 win⁢ against Northern Ireland in Cologne, where he impressed as a right-sided⁢ wing-back. His absence ‍presents a setback for the DFB team as they continue preparations for upcoming matches.

The German Football Association (DFB)⁢ has ⁣not announced plans for a replacement at⁣ this time. Leweling will focus on regaining fitness with the aim of being available for ⁣Union Berlin’s Bundesliga clash against Wolfsburg next Saturday at 3:30 PM.
