Naomi Osaka has parted ways with her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, after a partnership that began in September of last year. Teh collaboration did not yield notable success, with the notable achievements being a final appearance at a WTA 250 tournament in Auckland and a victory at a WTA 125 event in Saint Malo.
Osaka announced the separation on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the experience and wishing Mouratoglou well. “Thank you patrick! Learning from you was a great experience. I wish you everything the best. You are one of the coolest people I have met. I am sure that we will come too each other,” she wrote.

Osaka reportedly set to trial with former Świątek and Radwańska coach
reports from Polski-tenis.pl suggest that Wiktorowski, the former coach of Iga Świątek and Agnieszka Radwańska, may be Osaka’s next coach. The experienced trainer is said to have accepted Osaka’s offer and has traveled to Montreal for the WTA 1000 tournament, where his potential new charge is set to compete.
This data was corroborated by Naomi Osaka’s agent, Stuart Duguida, according to journalist Courtney Nguyen.
“Wiktorowski is flying to Montreal for a meeting and tests at Omnium Banque Nationale this week. According to Duguida, it seems that it will be a week of observation rather than full training from the very beginning,” Nguyen, known for her work with WTA Insider, stated.
Nguyen further elaborated, “Now it is onyl a trial period. These two will need some time to get to know each other. Tomasz is known for being a demanding and committed coach. He does not want to be on the first pages of newspapers, give interviews or build a brand.”
Wiktorowski previously coached Iga Świątek to four Grand Slam titles, including three at Roland Garros in Paris and one at the US Open in New York. Their coaching relationship concluded in October 2024. Since then, Wiktorowski has been involved in activities such as providing commentary for matches on television, including on Eurosport.
