Klein Hundorf Residents Embark on 1,280-Kilometer Journey to Raise Awareness for Rare Disease
KLEIN HUNDORF – A team of seven participants from Klein Hundorf has begun a remarkable 1,280-kilometer trek as part of the annual Mut-Tour,a nationwide initiative to promote acceptance and understanding of rare diseases.Accompanied by horses “Hunter” and “Kliwia,” the group will cover 15 to 18 kilometers daily,starting from locations including Freiburg,Lüneburg,Neustadt in Holstein,and Mainz.The Mut-Tour, involving twelve teams across Germany, spans from the Alps to the Baltic Sea coast, collectively covering over 4,100 kilometers by foot and hoof. Participants rely on the generosity of agricultural businesses for camping accommodations and dedicate themselves to animal care throughout the journey. Gunta Zvidrina and her horses have been a fixture accompanying the Mut tour stage from Klein Hundorf for several years.
