Body of Woman Found in Munich‘s Forstenrieder Park
munich – Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered Friday in Forstenrieder Park, one of Munich’s largest green spaces. Authorities have released a photograph of the deceased as part of their efforts to identify her and gather information related to the case.
The extensive search of the wooded area focused on locating items perhaps connected to the woman or the circumstances of her death, according to police spokesperson Schelshorn. “Everything we find is checked to see whether it could be related to this,” he stated. Officers, including members of the riot police, are specifically searching for personal belongings – wallets, handbags, or clothing – that could aid in establishing the victim’s identity.
The revelation has prompted a large-scale investigation, with teams of 16 to 20 officers systematically combing the area surrounding the location where the body was found. They are meticulously examining the forest floor, using sticks to probe the ground and marking potential evidence with spray chalk for forensic analysis.
While the body was found in Forstenrieder park, authorities have not confirmed whether the location is also the site of the crime. The search is ongoing, and officials do not anticipate completing it on Friday. Police have released a photograph of the deceased in hopes of receiving leads from the public that could assist in the investigation.
