Cardiff Man Dies at 25 Following rare Cancer Diagnosis
Cardiff, Wales – Karbalaei Seyed Mojtaba Almassi, 25, has died after a battle with a rare cancer, leaving his family and friends devastated. The young man, described as “the sweetest boy ever” by his brother, mortaza, initially sought medical attention for swelling around his eye, which ultimately led to the diagnosis.
Mr. Almassi’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign in his memory, aiming to raise £10,000 to build charity wells providing clean water to communities in need. As of today, the fund has raised just over £1,000.
Mortaza Almassi spoke of his brother’s strength and passions, recalling how, despite being physically smaller,he could consistently defeat him in sparring matches.”Considering I had 20kg advantage on him, he was vrey strong physically,” he said. Mr. Almassi was a keen mixed martial arts (MMA) enthusiast, having trained as a hobby and competed in amateur contests.
Beyond his physical pursuits, he had a lifelong love for motorbikes and cars, even researching vehicles from his hospital bed. “He loved motorbikes – anything with two wheels on it, he would wheelie it! He loved cars too. Even on his death bed, he was on his phone looking for cars. All he’d ever look at was cars and motorbikes,” Mortaza added.
Those who knew Mr.Almassi remember him as a devoted family man who cherished spending time with loved ones. “He liked spending time at home with his family and would always want to be with them,” his brother shared. “He was the sweetest boy ever, and he had a heart of gold. Everyone that has ever spoken to me has never had a bad word to say about him.”
