The original Subnautica has sold over 15 million copies across all platforms, whereas its follow-up, Subnautica: Below Zero, achieved approximately 5 million in sales. These figures suggest a strong potential launch for Subnautica 2, according to industry observers.
Competition for the top spot on Steam’s wishlist is tight. Forza Horizon 6, scheduled for release on May 19th for Xbox consoles and PC, currently holds approximately 2.6 million wishlists. Resident Evil Requiem, planned for release on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, has garnered 2.5 million wishlists. However, recent data from SteamDB indicates that Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed Forza Horizon 6 in wishlist numbers.
Another highly anticipated title from Xbox Game Studios, the latest Fable, also appears within the top 10 most wishlisted games on Steam. A release date for Fable has not yet been announced.
