Montemurlo Completes Cemetery Maintenance Ahead of All Saints Day
Ahead of All Saints‘ Day, the municipality of Montemurlo has completed cemetery maintenance and announced upcoming traffic restrictions on via della Rocca, lanazione.it reported.
Cemetery maintenance and chapel repairs completed
The Municipality of Montemurlo has concluded its maintenance work inside the Rocca municipal cemetery to ensure decorum and safety for visitors paying respects to their families. The work follows last week’s resurfacing of the cemetery parking lot, which received a new stabilized material layer and a functional rainwater drainage system. Inside the grounds, municipal utility company Consiag Servizi Comuni painted the railings for all handrails and repaired damaged plasterwork.
Special attention went to the chapel of light, a small church inside the graveyard containing contemporary art pieces by Mauro Gazzara. Workers whitewashed the interior walls and cleaned the exterior stone facade.

Traffic changes on via della Rocca for November 1
To handle the expected heavy volume of vehicles near the municipal cemetery for the November 1 holiday, the local police department has ordered specific traffic rules. A temporary one-way system takes effect starting at 8:00 on October 31 and runs until 18:00 on November 2. Motorists traveling on via della Rocca between the intersection with via Badioli and the intersection with via Freccioni must drive exclusively from via Badioli toward via Freccioni.
Parking bans apply to both sides of via della Rocca on the right-hand side relative to the traffic direction, specifically between house number 30 and the private entrance of La Rocca. Authorities have designated three parking stalls for individuals with disabilities in this zone. Additional parking prohibitions cover the entire roadway on via della Rocca between via Freccioni and via Cicignano-via Baronese, as well as both sides of via Freccioni.
