Seers Technology Unveils ECG-Based Ovulation Prediction AI at IEEE EMBC 2025
SEOUL,October 10th – Seers Technology announced today the presentation of its “ECG-based ovulation forecast AI model” at the International Biotechnology conference (IEEE EMBC 2025). The model leverages data from the company’s wearable electrocardiogram analysis solution, ‘Mobi Care.’
According to Seers, IEEE EMBC is the world’s largest biotechnology event, and this presentation signifies both academic advancement and potential for practical request.
Mobi Care utilizes a patch-type wearable electrocardiogram to continuously record ECG data during daily life, employing AI to accurately identify arrhythmia types and timing. The newly presented study involved 78 women of childbearing age recruited through the Gynecology Departments of Gangnam and Sinchon Severance Hospital, under the research team of Professors Cho Si-hyun, Choi Young-sik, and Lee Jae-hoon.
The AI model integrates Heart Rate Variability (HRV) patterns – indicators reflecting autonomic nervous system and hormonal changes – extracted from the ECG data with body temperature readings taken at 10-minute intervals. Seers applied a LightGBM algorithm, reporting improved predictive accuracy compared to customary calendar and temperature-based methods, with stable performance demonstrated even in women with irregular cycles.
Seers Technology plans to develop this research into an expanded ‘Mobi Care’ model, ultimately aiming to create a broader biological signal-based diagnostic platform encompassing infertility prevention and complete women’s health care, extending beyond its existing arrhythmia and cardiovascular disease diagnostic capabilities. The company also intends to leverage its accumulated large-scale ECG data to expand AI applications into areas such as physiological health assessment, hyperkalemia detection, sleep disorder analysis, and autonomic nerve function evaluation.
“We are expanding our diagnostic service into a new area of ovulation prediction based on the largest ECG data accumulated by Mobi Care and the advanced AI algorithm,” stated a Seers Technology official. “This achievement increases the value of Mobi care in the women’s health care market, including infertile couples, and diversifies the company’s growth momentum through diversification of diagnostic portfolios.”
