Miss Universe 2026 to be Held in Puerto Rico
San Juan, Puerto Rico – The Miss Universe Association announced today that the 75th edition of the Miss Universe competition will be held in Puerto rico in 2026. This marks the third time the island has hosted the international pageant, previously hosting in 1993 and 2011.
The declaration follows a surge in global attention on Puerto Rico, fueled in part by the recent success of Bad BunnyS monumental concerts on the island. Organizers believe the event will further solidify Puerto Rico’s position as a leading destination for music, culture, and entertainment.
In 2011, Denise Quiñones was crowned Miss Universe at the Rubén Rodríguez Coliseum in Bayamón. The 51st edition of the event was also held in Puerto Rico in the following year, with Oxana Fedorova of russia taking the crown.
Currently, 23 applicants are vying for the title of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2025, seeking to succeed Jennifer Colón Alvarado and represent the island at the international competition, which will be held this year in Thailand.
