Miss Universe 2026 to be Held in Puerto Rico

San Juan, Puerto ‍Rico – The Miss Universe‍ Association announced today that the 75th edition of the‍ Miss Universe competition will be held ​in Puerto rico in 2026.‍ This marks the third⁣ time the island has hosted⁣ the international pageant, previously hosting ⁣in 1993 and 2011.

The‌ declaration follows a surge ‍in global attention on Puerto Rico,⁣ fueled ⁣in ⁣part by⁢ the recent success‌ of Bad BunnyS monumental concerts on the⁤ island. Organizers believe‍ the‌ event will further solidify Puerto Rico’s​ position as a ⁣leading destination for music, culture, and ⁤entertainment.

In 2011, Denise Quiñones was⁢ crowned Miss Universe⁣ at⁢ the ⁢Rubén Rodríguez Coliseum in Bayamón. The 51st edition of the‌ event was also held in Puerto Rico in the following year, ‍with Oxana Fedorova⁣ of russia taking the‍ crown.⁤

Currently, 23 applicants are vying for the title of Miss ⁣Universe ⁢Puerto Rico⁤ 2025, seeking to⁢ succeed Jennifer Colón Alvarado and represent the island at the international ​competition, which‍ will ⁤be held this‌ year in Thailand.
